Androgynous Link, A Magical Austrian, and the Glorious ASB! (My first Japanese ad extravaganza, and my second post.)

Greetings, loyal readers! Today I think it would be fun to share one of my greatest loves in the whole wide world... Japanese ads! What you are about to see might disturb you, or scare you, but hopefully more then anything else you will find it amusing, or at best hilarious!

Did you like it? I thought you would. To me nothing is funnier then an army of scarlet-swathed babies marching on vacant clay sculptures of hungry children. But what I really want to know about this noodle ad is... Am I the only person feeling like the glorious armies of the United Scarlet Babies will soon rule us all? All hail the USB!

This next ad is a gem I discovered just a few minutes ago, a truly unique video-game commercial from the land of the rising sun:

I find this ad so fasinating that I must break my comments into bullet form, so that I can fully convey my thoughts.
-I really think that this is the best ad for a video game that I have ever seen! I really do!
-This makes me wonder what a Dance-Dance Revolution/Zelda crossover game would be like.
-This makes me want a Dance-Dance Revolution/Zelda crossover game.
-I really love androgynous Link.
-I think this single 1991 ad could be the inspiration for all of Lady Gaga's music videos.

Sadly, loyal readers, it is getting close to that saddest of times when I must leave you. However, I refuse to let you go on any note other then the note of pure randomness! Without further ado I give you Arnold in whatever this is!

Earlier in this post I said that nothing is funnier then an army of scarlet-swathed babies marching on vacant clay sculptures of hungry children. I was wrong. There is a whole series of these brilliant ads staring this demented, Austrian, robotic, golden, governor-genie, and each one is as brilliantly demented as the last one. This ad fills my mind with many questions, each one more pressing and seemingly more critical then the last, but one question stands alone: If Arnold can make it rain golden coins, why is California still in debt?

And now I must leave you all, but before I go I would like us all to join in song, and sing the anthem of the USB with this Japanese child-prodigy:
All hail the glorious USB!

  1. I do like Japanese ads. I found a web page a while ago with japanglish signs. When one language is translated into another often chaos ensues. I do like the legend of zelda video, I agree, its great.
